In foreign projects and domestic new projects, F8 filtration is the most common pre-filter in non-uniform flow clean rooms. For clean rooms of 100 and 10 grades or higher in chip factories, the common efficiency level of the pre-filter is H10 (MPPS 85%). Many new projects simply choose HEPA (filtering efficiency ≥ 99.97% for 0.37m particles). In the past design of clean room air conditioning systems in China, the common configuration of filters was: coarse → medium → high-efficiency. At that time, the service life of the end high-efficiency filter was only 1-3 years, and the worst was only a few months. It can be seen that the efficiency of the pre-filter determines the service life of the end filter. In some cases, the regulations for the use of high-efficiency filters are not due to the consideration of resistance, but other factors. If there is hydrofluoric acid in the factory and the workshop air conditioning is not a fresh air system, the glass fiber filter paper of the high-efficiency filter will be corroded by the return air. For safety, efficient filters must be replaced regularly. Currently, some tertiary grade A hospitals and pharmaceutical factories in China will actively replace high-efficiency filters after the rainy season each year. The main purpose is to prevent any possible mold contamination on the filter. Some tertiary grade A hospitals, pharmaceutical factories, biological laboratories, and laboratories dealing with dangerous substances in some countries will use new high-efficiency filters before conducting a new important project to ensure safety and reliability.

FFU The full English name is (Fan Filter Unit), and the professional Chinese term is "Fan Filter Unit (Unit)". The FFU can be modularly connected and used. The FFU is equipped with two levels of filtration nets: primary and high-efficiency. The fan sucks in air from the top of the FFU and passes it through the primary and high-efficiency filters for filtration. The filtered clean air is uniformly and steadily discharged at a wind speed of 0.45M/S ± 20% throughout the entire outflow surface. It is suitable for obtaining high-level clean environments in various environments. It provides high-quality clean air for clean rooms of different sizes and different cleanliness levels, micro-environments. In new clean rooms, clean factory renovations, and refurbishments, it can increase cleanliness levels, reduce noise and vibration, and also significantly reduce costs. Installation and maintenance are convenient, making it an ideal component for clean environments. Large-scale use provides a clean environment, mostly used for 100-level or higher levels. Generally, the floor form is a raised floor, with return air ducts, and the surrounding area of this level must also ensure a lower-level cleanliness. The cost is relatively high. Layered flow hood The layered flow hood is an air purification device that can provide a local high-cleanliness environment. It is mainly composed of a box, fan, primary air filter, damping layer, lamps, etc. The outer shell is spray-painted. This product can be hung or supported on the ground, with a compact structure and convenient use. It can be used alone or connected in series to form a strip-shaped clean area. The layered flow hood uses the air to pass through the high-efficiency filter at a certain wind speed to form a uniform flow layer, ensuring that the clean air in the working area flows vertically and in a single direction, thus ensuring that the working area reaches the required high cleanliness. The clean layered flow hood has two installation methods: internal fan installation and external fan connection. There are hanging type and floor-standing bracket type. The layered flow hood uses the air to pass through the fan at a certain pressure and then through the high-efficiency air filter by the damping layer to equalize the pressure, sending the clean air in a vertical laminar flow type airflow into the working area. Thus, it ensures that the working area reaches the required high cleanliness. Compared with clean rooms, layered flow hoods have the advantages of lower investment, faster effect, lower requirements for factory foundation construction, convenient installation, and energy saving. Currently, they are widely used in precision machinery, electronics, pharmaceuticals, food, fine chemicals, etc. The structure is more complex than FFU and is a local purification device. The requirements for the usage environment conditions are relatively low, used to provide a relatively high cleanliness level, suitable for renovation projects, and overall requirements are not very high.
